I trained with the Thoughtful Body in Derby, part of the Pilates Foundation UK back in 2009/2010
The Pilates Foundation is an international not-for-profit organization who set the precedence in providing the highest quality training standards in the UK.
It is the only organisation that is recognised by the NHS Trusts Association in the Directory of Health Service Providers.
The Pilates Foundation is dedicated to maintaining the integrity of the Pilates Method and providing the highest possible standards of training and teaching. The foundation trains its teachers more thoroughly, and for longer than any other Pilates teacher training organisation. All Pilates Foundation members are bound by a strict Code of Conduct and Ethics.
Since first qualifying I have attended several CPD courses, both on anatomy & physiology, as well as on keeping my understanding of how the body moves and functions. I have explored (still am) other modalities of movement, like yoga, which I practice daily, JEMS, attending regular workshops and courses.
